Rugs with a pile height of .45”, are tightly knotted and dense. Because they are durable and require light vacuuming, this height is ideal for high-traffic areas such as entryways, living rooms and dining rooms.

The rug is hand-knotted from New Zealand wool and Chinese silk by Nepalese craftsmen. It has medium pile achieved by deep-carving - the technology of cutting the pile along the contour of the pattern to emphasize decorative elements and complicate the texture.

 The process of hand knotted, which involves hand weaving and knotting each individual strand of fibre used for these rugs.
